JFWTC is in the process of setting up a new 350,000 sq ft green building that will house close to 2000 employees. The green building will ensure efficient use of energy and water, better quality of air for the occupants, use renewable sources of energy built out of materials that are recycled and environmentally friendly, thereby reducing the impact on the environment. JFWTC utilises the waste heat from the exhaust air emissions generated from the captive power plant to run an air conditioning system. Also the use of Low Sulphur Heavy Stock (LSHS) oil, a petroleum fraction as a fuel in power plant has reduced diesel consumption from 72000 litres to 48000 litres per month. The combined wastewater (both domestic and process) generated at JFWTC is treated at the in house wastewater treatment plant and reused for gardening purpose and toilet flushing (partially) and for construction activities.
