The vision of Philips Innovation Campus (PIC) and its employees is engagement and contribution to make a visible difference to the less privileged, in partnership with reliable NGOs or other trusted partners. PIC is actively involved with more than 15 projects in community development. Philips is associated with several NGO's like Sampark, Unnati, SBHR, RKMS, Pragati, BNI Counseling, Rashtrotthana Parishat, Spastics School, Hope, Akshaya Patra, Basic Need India-Livelihood, Ashwini Charitable Trust and Samarthanam.

Philips works closely with Akshaya Patra, which provides nutritious mid-day meals to about 59,500 children in several government schools in Bangalore. With a secular, non-discriminatory approach, the Akshaya Patra program which started in the year 2000, serves 1500 children in Bangalore, now reaches out to over 797,000 impoverished children in over 4,100 schools in 13 locations across the country.

Health and education incentives further supplement the central activity. In the health sector - PIC-ians are trying to make a difference to the lives of the visually, physically and mentally challenged, who are very often neglected by their families and isolated. PIC-ians engaged in this area try to make a positive difference to the lives of many, monitoring and co-ordinating with NGO's to achieve the goal of healthcare for the underprivileged.

In terms of education - Philips is supporting the education expenses of 23 children of Nele, a shelter for destitute and street children who provide food, education and vocational training and counseling, which is based in Hennur. 33 students of Ashwini Charitable Trust have been sponsored by Philips in their endeavour to reach out to the less privileged and 20 scholars from Pragati Educational Foundation have been supported by Philips this year. Philips has sponsored the training of 15 women in housekeeping and helped them in providing employment. Also, six deserving persons were given driving lessons, which was also funded by Philips.

512 children have benefited from the sponsorships provided by Philips and around 642 adults have been provided healthcare and provided employability through the various CSR initiatives of Philips this year alone.

Children's club concept has gained popularity due to the active participation of volunteers from Philips who spare time to teach underprivileged children.
